Brendetta Anthony Scott is a dedicated and experienced attorney with over 25 years of service in the legal field, now seeking to serve as Judge of the 268th District Court in Fort Bend County, Texas. A 1999 honor graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Brendetta has built a distinguished career as a litigator, educator, mediator, and public servant.
Throughout her legal practice, Brendetta has represented a broad range of clients—from individuals and families to financial institutions and small businesses—in matters involving family law, civil litigation, personal injury, consumer protection, evictions, foreclosures, bankruptcy, and appellate law. Her diverse background makes her well-equipped to handle the complex and varied caseload of a district court.
In addition to her trial work, Brendetta serves as an Independent Hearing Examiner for the Texas Education Agency, where she conducts administrative hearings with impartiality and integrity. She also shares her knowledge as an adjunct professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she has taught Appellate Litigation and Professional Responsibility, mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.
